So proud of the Athlone Town Senior Women’s Football team on winning the FAI Cup against Shelbourne. This marvellous game went to penalties with Athlone winning 6 – 5.
The last time that Athlone Town FC won a senior cup was in 1924, so this recent win is history in the making. Massive congratulations to this fantastic ladies team, to the management and to all involved with Athlone Town Football Club.
